In this course students students will be responsible for presenting the assigned readings and leading class discussion during two class periods in collaboration with Dr. Stephens. This assignment is worth 30 points. It is important to prepare for this assignment not only by presenting the course readings, but also taking time to understand the applicability of the article content to the broader course goals, and identify engaging ways to present this information.

CANVAS REQUIRED SEMINAR PLATFORM
Canvas Florida International University's primary learning platform for delivering online course content. In this course, we will be using Canvas as the primary site for the posting of course materials, submission of assignments and assigning grades. In this course, students must log in to Canvas to access all required course materials, emails, announcements, submission of assignments, and assigning grades.
As this course aims to foster ongoing discussions that will continue beyond the semester's end, it is critical that students have access to these resources throughout their academic journey. For this reason, this site is being used solely to ensure students have longer term accessibility to course content. No personal information or grading occurs here to ensure we do not violate individuals' educational privacy.
IN PERSON REQUIREMENTS
This is an in person class; students cannot take this class remotely. In cases of emergency, students can participate remotely via Zoom. All FIU Students have free access to this communication platform. Students must download the software from Zoom to participate. A meeting code and password will be provided by email 48 hours in advance of our scheduled seminar to each registered student.
